Shakespeare Garden Wedding Bride & Groom Portrait

What can I possibly say about this amazing couple!? Not only were they excited to tie the knot, they were ecstatic about their wedding day portraiture. When Karri first called me on the telephone to inquiry about her wedding photography, we instantly connected! Not only was she an aspiring photographer herself, and the more we chatted, the more we found common grounds! Karri is also a Public Safety 9-1-1 Dispatcher, as I was for almost 20 years (early retiree – January 2012!!)

What I most LOVED about our conversation was learning how important the photography of this milestone event was to this happy couple in love. They both valued this just as much if not more than the venue and other key components of their day. Many times, couples focus majorly on the venue, the dress, the flowers, etc., as well they should! However, what good is all of that focus if one does not hire the photographer who is a good “personal” match to capture everything as beautiful as it really is? Remember, at the end of the day, all that will remain are your memories and your wedding album. as well as your photographer being with you during the entire day and thereafter (once photos are done and it’s time to design the wedding album!).

Not only did I feel like a valued vendor on their day, I felt like family as I was welcomed with smiles, hugs and cheers by both of them and their families. Karri made a huge deal about her wedding planning and she constantly shared her excitement which was contagious! She glowed on her wedding day and as I was photographing her getting into her dress, and Mike getting his last minute touches on, I had to quietly take a deep breath and gulp, as my emotions settled in.

If there is one thing that photographers love is couples in love who value their photographer and their photography, truly, we work effortlessly, tirelessly and we value this day just as much as our clients. I know you too will enjoy this match made in heaven…..Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Mike Garcia….YOU DID IT!!!!
