Rita and Richard – Berkeley Botanical Garden Wedding Photography

Nothing better than receiving a call from an excited yet nervous bride regarding her wedding photography, what makes this even a little more special is Rita lives in the same city as I do!  I never had the chance to meet her until her actual wedding day, but we shared numerous phone calls and emails and the day I met her I felt I knew her for a very long time.  Maybe just a tad bit nervous, anxious, and emotional, but most of a stunning looking bride in the midst of her family and close friends who were with her until the very moment she walked down the aisle of St. Cornelius Church.

I remember Rita’s biggest concern….the rain…we had not much rain in the past few months and all she wanted was flowers, blooms, and no puddles.  I recall constantly thinking “find blooms” and at every tiny opportunity, I would shoot through them or with them in the scenes somehow…just for her. It was a day that went by so fast but it did not skip a beat of love, emotion, and sheer elation as her guests cheered once they were pronounced man and wife!

This was a fun couple, not to mention that Rita  (aka Oakland Raider fan),  told Richard that she would became a San Francisco 49er Fan, if he proposed, and that he did!  Not only has he acquired a beautiful bride, she’s a NINER bride, what better than that!?  Immediately after the ceremony and the must-do family formals, we were anxious to get the lovely couple into their limo and off to their carefully selected romantic location, The Berkeley Botanical Gardens, it was a gorgeous day that I can easily say it was THEIR day!  The couple’s celebration continued onto a lovely venue in Jack London Square where they were received and cheered by close family members and friends whom also shared their send off to a fab honeymoon in Mexico!

Congratulations to this awesome couple …. here are just a few of our favorites!
