The location the couple chose was the Gloria Ferrer Winery located in Sonoma, CA., the weather was perfect, the vines were green and the overall joy and elation was felt by family and friends as well as on-lookers and patrons of the winery. All guests were chauffeured by a chartered bus, which I think is ideal especially because it’s wine country, c’mon…..it’s time to celebrate! The day started at the Novato Marriott Courtyard, as the bride and her bridal party, mom and friends were preparing with hair, makeup and all of the tasks that usually accompanies a wedding. The groom and his groomsmen were also in the hotel getting ready, and I am sure marveling at Jason’s fabulous “Groom’s Survival Pack!”
A pre-sunset wedding ceremony took place in the veranda of the winery and smiles, as well as tears were shared among a very closely knit guest list. The couple was anxious to hang out in the vines and get some fun portraits and after the ceremony, it is exactly what we did! We love it when couples “jump in” and make time for such portraits, after all, it is a day they will never want to forget and wish to savor and relish for many years to come.
The evening continued with a lavishly set dinner in the Wine Cave, complete with gorgeous ambient lighting, good wine and a beautiful dinner for the traveling couple and their guests! The celebration then continued upstairs on the terrace where guests enjoyed live jazz music by the band, cake cutting, first dance, the celebration continued until the couples exciting exit. GF Winery was a gracious venue to celebrate a wedding and we are looking forward to working here again.
